About TSPSC

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is an association created by the Constitution of India to select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Telangana. Hyderabad Civil Service Committee was established by the 1919 Firman and the Hyderabad Public Service Commission was established on 27 April 1947 emulating the model of British Provincial Public Service Commission with a Chairman and Members not exceeding four in number

TSPSC (Group 1)- Syllabus & Analysis

TSPSC Group 1 Exam Details which include the Exam Qualification, Eligibility for the exam, Age limit, Exam Selection Procedure.

TSPSC Group 1 Services Selection Process:

Selection criteria is nothing but evaluating the skills, knowledge, qualifications/abilities, etc of the applicants to check whether his/her profile suits the job or not. In order to recruit talented applicants, the authorities will conduct the following selection rounds –

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Mains Examination
  • Personal Interview
  • Document Verification

Education Qualification: The candidate must have completed the Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant specialization from any recognized university or board with a minimum aggregate of marks.

Nationality: A candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit: For General Candidates the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 34 years.

Age Limit for Group 1 Exams in Telangana –

  • Deputy Superintendent of Police: 21 – 30 years
  • Deputy Superintendent of Jails: 18 – 28 years
  • Assistant Prohibition and Excise Superintendent: 18-28 years
  • For all other posts: 18 – 34 years

Upper age relaxation is applicable to the reserved candidates as per the norms of the government.

  • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
  • PWD candidates: 10 years
  • OBC + PWD candidates: 13 years
  • SC/ST + PWD candidates: 15 years

  • International Relations and Events.

PAPER – I: GENERAL ESSAY

Candidate should write three Essays, selecting one from each Section compulsorily. Each Section contains three Questions. Each Essay carries 50 marks.

  • Interview/Oral Test
